Since 1990, VMI has established ministries in West Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Rather than place Americans in the field on a long-term basis, we have found it more successful to train indigenous Christians to reach their own people.
As these missionaries are trained, they become able to train other indigenous pastors and Christian workers. We do this because governments often restrict foreign travelers, and indigenous pastors will always be available to teach.
